Called the Brehon Laws, this spelled out terms of marriage, divorce, responsibilities, and priviledges. Using St. Patrick as a metaphor for the coming Christianity, Padraigin McGillicuddy compares the two societies, Christian and Pagan, and their attitudes toward women.
